BioOn October 1st, 2006, I traded the Southern California locale I'd known my entire life and followed a dream nearly 7 years in the making, settling down in the city of New Orleans.
Things are funny here right now. The city is rebuilding, reassessing itself, coming back to life all around me. I'm proud to be here, now, at this particular moment in this great city's history. I'm determined to make my mark.
Unlike my other journal (if you don't know where that one is already, don't ask; I won't tell you) this journal deals completely with my daily comings and goings as I settle down, make new friends, and document my new life in New Orleans. Former co-workers, casual acquaintences, and family members are all invited to join in and follow my adventures with me.
That said, I do want to lay down a few guidelines for posting here, and I'd appreciate it if you'd follow these simple rules for participating in conversations in my journal.
1. If you have a problem with me relating to my other journal, and you post anything about it here, I will delete your post and ban you as a user. No exceptions.
2. Anonymous comments are OK, because I know not all of my family members have Livejournal user accounts. You don't need to have one to talk to me here! All I ask is that you please let me know who you are in the subject line of your comment. Creepy anyonymous posts will be deleted, so please don't be offended if I delete one of your comments you fogot to "sign"
3. Be nice to me, please. I'm a nice person in real life, but far from perfect, and I have feelings that get hurt easily. If you don't know me personally, please refrain from making any judgements about me based on what you read here; that's not really smart, you know? Give me the benefit of the doubt.
